92.3 Radyo5 True FM

Unlike most FM radio stations that typically air all music, 92.3 Radyo5 True FM distinguishes itself as one of a handful in the Philippines with a dedicated set of programming for news and current affairs. Other programs in its lineup tackle entertainment, health, sports, business, finance, life and inspiration.
92.3 True FM, popularly known as Radyo5, is the flagship radio station of TV5 Network, Inc. , whose parent company is MediaQuest Holdings, Inc, the media arm of PLDT and its pension trust fund. Both PLDT and MediaQuest are led by Manuel “Manny” V. Pangilinan as chairman of the board. Ultimately, PLDT is part of the conglomerate of Hong Kong-based First Pacific of Indonesian business tycoon Anthoni Salim, with Pangilinan as managing director and chief executive officer.
In 2010, when MediaQuest Holdings, Inc. acquired the television channel TV5, its owner TV5 Network, Inc. launched Radyo5 as 92.3 News FM. In March 2023, the station officially rebranded as “True FM”, with a new diverse set of programs, including news, entertainment, and inspiration.
The station simulcasts well-known news and public service programs by its sister television outlets One PH and TV5 such as "Ted Failon DJ Chaha sa Radyo5" hosted by Ted Failon and DJ Chacha and "Wanted sa Radyo" of Sen. Raffy Tulfo.
In August 2023, the People Management Association of the Philippines (PMAP) awarded Radyo5 and its free-to-air television counterpart TV5 as the radio and television stations of the year, respectively. PMAP, an association of human resources professionals and people managers, gives awards to the media for their outstanding works “that enhance public understanding of the role and impact of sound people management in both public and private sector in the country.”
Unlike top radio companies GMA and Manila Broadcasting Corporation with nationwide coverage, Radyo5 is still working on reaching a wider audience. Radyo5 program supervisor Cherry Bayle recognized this as a “technical difficulty” during the launch of True FM, saying that improving the reception of the station is now “one of their priorities.” The Nation Broadcasting Corporation, also a subsidiary of MediaQuest, is the operator of radio frequency of Radyo5.
