DWWW 774

DWWW 774 is an AM radio station that airs news, public affairs, and music programs. It had its first commercial broadcast on October 31, 1996, under the management of business executive Roberto “Bert” Bacsal and recording executive Rene Palma.

At the time, the station described its programming as "bold and innovative, and somewhat reckless." Unlike other AM stations that focused on round-the-clock news and commentaries of hard-hitting anchors, DWWW 774 allotted more than half its broadcast hours for music programs instead.

In 2011, DWWW 774 worked on increasing the station's listener base and in improving its overall programming, with Fred Davis as its general manager. Its station profile enumerates the significant changes made under the new management, which later on gave birth to the new DWWW 774 "The Music of Your Life," launched on November 2 that year.

While the station has undergone numerous rebranding through the years, it has always been known for its balanced programming of news and music. Its current branding as "Your Ultimate Newsic Radio Station" earned the 4th spot in AM listenership nationwide based on Nielsen’s Q2 2023 data.

The station is operated and owned by Interactive Broadcast Media, Inc. (IBMI), a subsidiary of EDCanoy Prime Holdings, Inc., owned by the family of Eric S. Canoy.

Son Enrico Guido "Ryx" Canoy, DWWW 774’s station manager, is also the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Radio Mindanao Network, Inc., another subsidiary of EDCanoy Prime Holdings, Inc.

Republic Act 8210, which granted IBMI the legislative franchise to broadcast in the Philippines, lapsed into law on September 5, 1996.

In 2016 under Republic Act 10753, Congress renewed IBMI's franchise for another 25 years.

The station’s studio is in Greenhills, San Juan. It’s transmitter is located in Barrio Tagalag, Polo, Valenzuela. DWWW 774 broadcasts to Metro Manila, Central Luzon, Southern Luzon, and the Bicol provinces of Catanduanes, Masbate, and Camarines Norte.
