Brigada Mass Media Corporation

Brigada Mass Media Corporation operates multiple media outlets across all platforms (TV, radio, print, and online). It has local broadcast presence via free, digital, and cable television channels, and a nationwide network of 50 news radio stations in the FM band.
It prides itself as the first tri-media (TV, radio, print) company to have emerged from south-central Mindanao — the Soccskargen (South Cotabato, Cotabato, Sarangani, Sultan Kudarat) region — and built a national network of news stations in the FM band.
Brigada Mass Media Corporation is part of the General Santos City-based conglomerate, Brigada Group of Companies, with business interests in pharmaceuticals, construction, security services, and leisure, among others.
Elmer V. Catulpos, a former radio reporter, single handedly founded and built the media company — starting with a tabloid — and the other affiliate enterprises that make up the Brigada conglomerate. He has also forayed into politics.
In 2022, Catulpos ran for the mayoralty post of General Santos City backed by the Achievement with Integrity Movement (AIM), a political party founded by the Antonino political clan of South Cotabato. Despite his media business, his foray into politics was unsuccessful after running head-to-head with the sister-in-law of world boxing champ Manny Pacquiao.
In 2013, Brigada Mass Media Corporation acquired Baycomms Broadcasting Corporation, which holds the franchise to operate Brigada’s radio stations and is used by Media Serbisyo Production Corporation’s DWPM 630 Teleradyo Serbisyo, formerly ABS-CBN;s DZMM Teleradyo 630 before it lost its franchise.
