Eagle Broadcasting Corporation (EBC) is a commercial subsidiary broadcasting network owned and controlled by the religious group Iglesia ni Cristo (INC).
EBC is one of INC’s media arms along with its evangelization broadcast company, the Christian Era Broadcasting Service International, Inc. Named after the Philippine eagle, EBC is involved in radio and television broadcasting. EBC hosts its all-news AM radio station DZEC Radyo Agila (1062 kHz Metro Manila) which provides news, information, and entertainment. NET25 is EBC’s flagship television channel known for its news coverage, public affairs, entertainment programs, and religious content.
NET25 is a Philippine television network available both on free TV (analog and digital), through cable affiliates, and via satellite through partner agencies overseas, allowing it to reach audiences throughout the country and around the world. It boasts being the first digital broadcast TV in the Philippines and was officially launched on July 27, 2000.
EBC has also expanded its presence into digital media, making its content accessible online through social media, ensuring that its programs reach a wide audience.
Stockholders of EBC are all members of INC. Theoben Jerdan Orosa, Rowena Df. Deimoy, Nelson Lubao, Eraño Magtuto, and Elson Montalbo all have a 20% share in Eagle Broadcasting Corporation.
EBC has always been closely associated with the Iglesia ni Cristo, and its spiritual leader, Bro. Eduardo V. Manalo plays a significant role in EBC's ownership and direction, as well as its programming and content.
