Interactive Broadcast Media, Inc.
Interactive Broadcast Media Inc. was established in October 1996 by businessman and audiophile Roberto Bacsal and record label executive Rene Palma. It eventually took over the management of DWWW 774, an AM radio station, initially put up by the Mareco Broadcasting Network that used the station to promote Villar Records and Mabuhay Records.
At that time, unlike other AM stations that focused on round-the-clock news and commentaries by hard-hitting anchors, DWWW 774 allotted more than half its broadcast hours for music programs.
In 2010, EDCanoy Prime Holdings, Inc. owned by the family of Eric S. Canoy, acquired IBMI shares. The following year, under new management, DWWW 774 worked to increase its listener base, and the new station slogan “The Music of Your Life” was launched on November 2, 2011.
In 2012, IBMI became an associate of EDCanoy Prime Holdings, with the latter owning 49% shares of the company. Radio Mindanao Network (RMN), which is also owned by EDCanoy Prime Holdings, is an affiliate.
