Gil C. Cabacungan, Jr.

Gil C. Cabacungan, Jr. is a former senior reporter and editor at the national broadsheet Philippine Daily Inquirer. During his stint with the newspaper, he received various awards for his work given by different organizations like the Economic Journalists Association of the Philippines, Citibank and the Catholic Mass Media Awards.

With over two decades of experience in covering Philippine business and economic issues, Cabacungan founded in 2015 Bilyonaryo.com, a business news-focused website with the primary intent “of treating Billionaires as rock stars” by publishing stories about them. It also publishes analyses on business and economic issues.

In 2021, Prage Management Corporation, which he co-owns and co-founded in October 2018, took over the management of the website. He currently serves as the website’s general manager overseeing its daily operations.
