Si Menardo Jimenez ay isa sa tatlong itinuturing na ama ng GMA Network Incorporated kasama sina Felipe L. Gozon at Gilberto M. Duavit Sr. Sila ang sinasabing nagbaligtad ng kapalaran ng naluluging Republic Broadcasting System (RBS) ng Amerikanong si Robert La Rue Stewart at ginawang milyong dolyar na imperio ang network ngayon.Si Menardo Jimenez ay bayaw ni Felipe L. Gozon; asawa niya si Carolina L. Gozon-Jimenez, kapatid ni Gozon. Siya ay presidente at chief executive officer ng GMA Network Incorporated mula 1974 -- noong ito ay RBS pa at si Duavit Sr. ang chairman -- hanggang 2000. Noong 1973, nang ang RBS ni Stewart ay nalulugi, sinasabing inalok niya ang 30 porsiyento ng RBS kay Gozon pero ang pera ni Gozon ay sapat lang para bayaran ang 10 porsiyento kaya't inalok niya ang 20 porsiyento sa bayaw niyang si Jimenez. Noong 1975, sina Gozon, Jimenez at Duavit Sr. ang nagpatakbo na ng RBS at pinalitan ang pangalan ng istasyon na GMA Network. Sa ilalim ng kanilang pamamahala, ang istasyon ay nagsimulang umangat bilang pangunahing kakumpitensya ng ABS-CBN Corporation ng mga Lopez para sa unang puwesto sa merkado ng media.Noong 2000, ihinalal ng GMA board si Gozon bilang chairman, presidente at chief executive officer, isang biglang hakbang na nagbago sa balangkas ng pangasiwaan ng network, at napatalsik ang bayaw na si Jimenez sa top management. Si Gozon ay nanatiling chairman at chief executive officer mula noon ngunit noong 2010, si Gilberto Duavit Jr., anak ni Duavit Sr., ay ihinalal ng board bilang presidente ng network na posisyon ni Gozon.Nang taon din iyon, ang kanyang anak, si Laura J.
